Baroque Works is set to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the major clash won’t unfold until the next season, and a beloved, popular member has recently been selected.

Netflix announced recently that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Mr. 2. Bon Clay has the ability to transform into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that character re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action show, differing from the original manga and animated series.

The new cast member is joined by several other new cast members set to bring Baroque Works to life, featuring chief Sir Crocodile, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the lineup as the monarch of the fictional land.

Even though this character is a major member of the group, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the third season. Given the second season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this marks a major departure in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could indicate more adjustments to the plot development.

The actor’s combination of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the part. Besides their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and multiple awards for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.

The platform’s adapted One Piece program is due to premiere for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
