The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
